EMMANUEL C MONTOYA

"History is really important to me and is a great source of inspiration for my art."
Interviewing Emmanuel at the Firehouse North for the May 2010 show is an inspiration in itself.

Emmanuel grew up in Texas and is currently part of the Berkeley artist community.

He worked on several murals in the 70s in Palo Alto and then moved to San Francisco to paint and print.
Curiosity is important and to stay in touch with young people.

N'de is the word for Apache Nation and Emmanuel attended the annual Stanford Pow Pow this weekend.
Meet Emmanuel on May 14th, 7 to 9pm, at the Firehouse North. !790 Shattuck ave in Berkeley.
