May 2011 art show at the Firehouse Art Collective North gallery on 1790 Shattuck Avenue, North Berkeley

"TWO ARTISTS, TWO TRADITIONS"

Opening night Friday, 13th, 7 to 9pm
Show runs through May 6 to 29

"Sylvia Sussman’s work refers to the regional landscape and more universally to the way in which landscape can affect our emotional states and uplift us into a wider sense of being in the world."

"Carol Brighton is a papermaker and a printmaker. Her handmade papers at the Firehouse North Gallery are inspired by her pilgrimage to Mt. Kailash in Tibet. The images are observations of the permeability of material space."
